Shower Filters
While shower filters don't remove minerals, they significantly improve most cases of scalp dermatitis, acne, and itchy, dry skin. I'm obsessed with my filtered showerhead from Canopy! They are pricier than a standard cartridge filter but well worth it. Use my code for 15% off.

Cartridge filters are an inexpensive alternative for managing heavy metals and chlorine exposure in our Central Texas water. Just remember to change the cartridge every 90 days.
Scalp Stimulators
Whether through manual massage or a tool, stimulating blood flow and keeping the fascia under the scalp soft and flexible plays a massive part in keeping the scalp healthy and the hair follicles strong. I use the electronic scalp massager and the gua sha tool in the salon and at home.
Detangling/Wet Brushes
My favorite wet brush; it's incredibly gentle on the hair and scalp, yet super effective as a detangler. It has patented two-tiered teeth technology. The long, flexible teeth detangle, remove knots, and reduce breakage, while the short teeth smooth strands, for frizz-free hair
Boar Bristle Brushes
Stimulating blood flow in the scalp is imperative for healthy, happy follicles. When hair loss is often a factor, even touching the scalp is a scary thought. I recommend using a boar bristle brush on dry hair before you shower to remove loose strands and prep the scalp to absorb treatment shampoos and serums. My favorite is the Mason Pearson Sensitive, but several well-made, affordable alternatives exist.
Hair Vitamins
Matrix 5000 is a line of high-dose biotin supplements created by a dermatologist specializing in hair loss. I use the R3 to manage my androgenic alopecia. It keeps my hair shiny and healthy and has increased its density by about 40%. It's also about a third of the cost of other hair supplements.
Malibu C Hard Water Remedy
Naturally removes hard water deposits, retains moisture, restores shine, adds softness & improves hair manageability. Even if you use a shower filter to remove heavy metals and chlorine from your water, you still need to address the minerals that can dry out hair and make it brittle. These little packets are an easy, inexpensive solution for home treatment.
Air Purifiers
If you're chemically sensitive, an air purifier can offer some relief in your home and work environments. My favorites are the Air Doctor AD3500, which I use at home, and the Molekule Mini +, which I use in the salon.
Red Light Helmets
iRestore and Theradome are both effective at stimulating hair follicles; they differ in design and power. iRestore offers full scalp coverage with its helmet design, while Theradome is more compact and focuses on delivering high-intensity laser energy, producing faster results for some users. Ultimately, the "best" choice depends on your needs and preferences. I recently purchased the Theradome Pro, which requires only two 20-minute treatments per week. I love a low-time-commitment treatment!
Styling Tools
L'ange is the brand of tools I use at home, except for my Gama IQ Profetto 3 dryer. I use the Le Duo and the Multi-Volume with the 43mm attachment. These tools are well-made and thoughtfully designed, and L'ange offers an excellent extended warranty.
Root Coverage Powder
Quickly cover grays, touch up highlights, and fill in thin spots. This temporary color washes out with shampoo. This root concealer contains no waxes, dyes, fragrances, propellants, or PPD.
